I’m starting a thread for these guys to make it easier to track their progress and maybe help others to compare. :)

so, the d’uccles first. Mille fleur, 3 weeks today, but pics from last week. I’ll update later today.

I know it’s too early, but I like to start out early and guess and then see if I’m right. Lol. And like I said, it’s nice to have something to reference for other birds too.

D'uccles are quite easy to sex, roosters start getting their combs around 5ish weeks. Have fun with them!

they are all a bit to young especially the silkie as they are very hard to sex at a young age, so far all seam to be pullets except for the icelandic who has such a large comb. repost in 2 or 3 weeks once they feather in and it will be easier :)

Lol, the silkie is photobombing. xD I’m actually going to DNA sex that one. I’ve already got one silkie I’ve grown out and I’m pretty sure is a cockerel, so I don’t need to feed another one for the next 5 months. :)
I like posting them from babies though, to see how they change over time. :) it’s fun to guess and see if I’m anywhere close to right. xD
