Ah ok. If I were you, I wouldn't be calling cockerel so soon.

Lol, it seems to be that anything I want to keep turns out to be a cockerel. xD all 3 of my sebrights? Cockerels. My silkies? Cockerels. Even my ducklings... lol. I hatched 2 batches in a row, all drakes. xD so now I just assume everything is going to be male and get excited when they turn out to be pullets instead.

Update for anyone coming across this thread trying to sex their own d’uccles or Icelandics:
all 3 d’uccles turned out to be pullets. Haha. The icelandic is obviously overwhelmingly male, turning into a handsome young man.
Oh, and the silkie from the beginning was DNA sexed as female.

Congratulations on all your girls! Just read through the thread for the first time and am happy my own guesses were correct (even the silkie). I have no proof of course, LOL.

Just wanted to share an updated pic of this guy. He’s 22 weeks now, turning into a lovely gentleman. He tidbits to the girls (who ignore him) and also to the 8 week old chicks I just put out in the coop. He’s not aggressive in the slightest, but watchful. He observes whatever I’m doing but is very respectful of my space. I think he’s a keeper.
