id my duck

i just good this duck but i cant seem to id my duck... can someone help id and if possible male or female thanks

It is either a Muscovy or a mule duck (Muscovy hybrid). I am not as familiar with the hybrids.

Muscovy mature males will make a huffing type sound and be larger than females. Hen will continue to make a. Variety of sounds but hiss/huff only when agitated.

Its muscovy. You can go to YouTube to listen to the different sounds they make. It looks old enough to be identified by sound. Also, if you take a pic of the side of the body while its standing - males have thicker legs and females are thinner.
Where did you get it? Did you get more than 1 duck? I would say it's less than a yr old.

it was given to me with a chicken for my 6 year old child and the duck seems to follow the chicken a lot as the leader and they eat all the plants i have a real mess...

and for the carnucles i hope they dont grow al lot.

even the chicken is weird tall skinny fast like a road runner can't catch it

Fencing is the best way to keep them away from prized plants.

Are they just running loose without fencing or protection?

Miss Lidia here is the picture of the chicken and yes i have a backyard and they have a house but they run loose

Nice looking birds. If you take a pic of the muscovy so that we can see the whole body with a side view we can help narrow down if its male or female. The chicken might be a roo with those super long legs.
Is there anyway to ask the person who gave them to you about the ages? That also helps narrow things down.
