Elvis is a six month old pullet, she is named thus so because I was told she was definitely a cockerel when she was young. She just has some wonderful wattles. I bought her from rural king and none of the chicks were labeled. She has these very slight copper feathers up around her ear lobe, you may need to zoom in on the photo to see but my other blue bird doesn’t have this. She is a wonderful chicken either way.

I’m not sure which egg is hers, but all three lay a lighter tannish egg. They are distinguishable from one another but similar.

That eliminates the colored egg layers and marans breeds/mixes.

What does that mean by production blue? Is there no certain type?
They’re a hybrid, created by crossing a Rhode Island Red and a blue Australorp. So they’re not technically a breed, but they do all have a “type,” as they’re all blue with some red/gold in the hackles.
