Hello! I finally figured out which chick is my free exotic mystery chick from Murray Mcmurray. Problem is I'm stumped as to breed. As a chick it was mostly yellow with some gray down on the body but now its feathering out with gray barring? It also looks like it'll be a cockerel. About 4 weeks old now...any ideas? I looked through their site and I'm stumped.

Also attached photos of my EE. Is this a pullet? Her markings are a little splotchier than I'm used to but her face isnt looking like a cockerel yet. Shes about 5-6 weeks.

Thanks!
Mystery chick

That's kinda what I was thinking too but their website shows a chipmunk stripe on the chicks which he didn't have. I'd be happy with a cream legbar roo!
The chipmunk stripe is a female specific trait in that breed. The males won't have it. I was also confused by how light yellow two of mine were. I've been playing the same guessing game as you. Turns out McMurray sent me 4 sexed MALES instead of the sexed females I ordered. They were good about giving a refund, but geez... lol.

Mine were hatched April 1, so probably his brothers, eh?

LOL oh no! Im sorry about your mixup! Luckily I have the space and love my roos but it looks like I ended up with at least 5 -8 males out of my 35 chicks this year so I will be hearing a lot of crowing! Thanks for the info on the Legbar. I find their males quite beautiful so I'm pleased (though a female would have been even more welcome LOL)

Yeah that was my hatch date also! I got 17 chicks and they all arrived in one piece...unfortunately I ended up losing 3 pretty quickly (one polish, one houdan and one white faced black Spanish). Its so sad losing them.
