Yea, none of my Swedish had that speckled look either, but I did have every degree of black and white, from solid black, to one that is white with only a small patch of black on his rump.
How do they compare size-wise to your Swedish?

That's the other thing I wanted to add to the last post. They are actually more petite all around. Noticeably smaller

Sounds like you got 2 girls that was a nice blessing. I am not sure how many feed stores would get in MagPies but I have heard some on here this year say they got Ancona at their feed store. To me that is even unusual.

I agree with you Miss Lydia. I have rarely even seen Anconas or Magpies at livestock auctions close to here. I have seen the local feedstore offer Pekins, Muscovies, and Rouens but that is about it.

Seems Anconas and Magpies are not as easy to find. But I do remember someone who got some Anconas at their feed store maybe they got from a local breeder that could have even been the case with yours. Local breeder selling to the feed store? wild guess.
