Silver Penciled Wyandotte. Brahmas have feathered feet/shanks and pea combs. Though at first glance I thought Dark Brahma too, as I'm so used to seeing them run around our yard. lol.
She looks like she is molting out. Most hens stop laying when they molt. Just give her some time, and she should pick back up again. She is definitely a year old, after that? However, I have noticed our Dark Brahmas (also Silver Penciled...they are hatchery quality) tend to get more brown and white as they age.

That's a Silver Penciled Wyandotte! I want some sometime. They are so pretty!

If the only feathers missing were the ones on her back, she's probably just had too much rooster attention.

yup she was missing a large patch on her back and around her neck is pretty rugged too. I think it was just too much rooster attention, my neighbor said she was about 14 months old

From the photo I can't see feathers on the legs, does she have little pin feathers on her legs? Could be brahma, although she doesn't have that signature sinister brow that brahmas have. I would go with Silver-Pencilled Wyandotte.

okay so I got her and another bird (i think maybe a blue Cochin) about ten days ago they were pretty beat up and kinda stressed out I guess so no eggs from them until today and today I got my first egg but it is white. I thought Wyandottes and Cochind layed light brown eggs. Or is it dependant on the colour of the bird?
