I've recently rescued 3 ducks from a friend of a friend who thought they were "cute". Needless to say, the cuteness wore off once responsibility kicked in. :(
I am told that they are male, but I don't know what breed they are. I'm thinking Saxony or Runner, but to be honest, I don't know much about ducks.
Any ideas?

First of all Bless you for rescuing these ducks, poor babies happens a lot folks fall in love with the cuteness but it soon wears off. no the cuteness but the love . Does your ducks stand up tall and straight/ if so maybe runners, since I have only Muscovy I have to actually look up some breeds of ducks and Saxony isn't one that we see on here a lot so I'll have to go check that out,. do you know how old they are? how is their over all health, what kind of diet are they on? It sure is pretty but hard to tell much since it kind of blends in with the shavings. here is a link to all kinds of valuable info. https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/256233/ducks-sticky-topics-index

I literally got them about 9 hours ago. They seem to be fairly healthy. They are on a "Meatbird" starter food diet. The feed looks very similar to the chick starter food I feed my recently hatched chickens. I believe they were hatched in February. I'm headed to the feed store where they had been purchased to see what info I could get, but after following this BYC for a few months, I knew someone one here could help! ;)

Let us know what you find out. and looks like the one in your picture is standing on it's own foot, can it walk alright, I was thinking you might want to pick up some Brewers yeast to add to their feed to help with any leg issues.you have to watch that the protein level isn't too high when feeding ducklings should be less than 20%

Good news! All 3 ducks are doing great. I believe I have identified them as Fawn Runners, which, I would like to add, is very ironic due to their condition. Thank you Miss Lydia for seeing what I didn't! The ducks do have a leg problem, probably due to poor diet and exercise. I am currently looking for Brewer's yeast to mix in their food to see if that will help; but, the fresh air, sunshine, and green grass to run in has dramatically improved their health over the last couple of days.
