- We are newbies. We got our chicks May 4.

- 6 cute fuzzballs

- We were told that they’d be Ameraucanas, but the sign at the store said Aurcaunas. In any event, they are EXACTLY right for us.

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
- We’ll let you know. Right now they’re spare bedroom chickens!

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
- reading, firearms, vegetable gardening

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
- Moved to rural (QUITE rural) Idaho in August 202. We have 1 son, 3 of the best grandchildren in the universe, no other animals, we’re both retired.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community
- I found BYC during my search to get some chicken info, so I’ve known about BYC for about 25 days. I joined up to gain full access to the community’s knowledge.

Welcome here. You'll love all the wisdom here. We are retired and I got 4 chicks that same day. Americaunas also. Turns out they are Easter Eggers but I'm OK with that. We love our firearms also and I'm sure you'll love those little fuzzy butts they are such characters. And bonus the eggs! Send us pix of them plz
