Idaho?

Color depends on the parents. Birdguy sold me some last year, the daddy was a wheaten Am Roo from Michelle's stock, and the SBEL eggs are amazingly pretty blue, and yes they lay like leghorns. I had 4, and three laid really big eggs, 1 laid smaller eggs, but daily for the most part. Color is the same as my Wheaten Am hens.

I have had SBELs from three different places, and the color varied. same as EE's, depends on the flock and the blue egg genes....but they really are good layers. I prefer them to Ameraucanas too, temperament seems better (which surprises me)

That's great. I have two Easter Eggers, but they have really slowed down on laying. They haven't laid a single eggs since the weather got cold. Before that, they were only good for about 4-5 a week between the two. I guess I can't expect much. They were just bought from Cal Ranch.
