I'm from Boise, but moved to Maine two years ago to start a homestead mini-farm.

I still have a lot of friends and family in Idaho, including chicken people. We'd love to come back to visit but are not yet to that point in our homesteading efforts.

Any members in SE IDaho? I have a few laying hens, a few banties for fun and guinea fowl. I'm looking for guinea eggs for hatch this summer.

I get mine at D&B but you might also try the meridian feed mill. I don't know how those prices compare.

We get our feed from Bid D Ranch in Kuna, you can get local products, non gmo and a 50lb bag is $10.50 I think. It is a mix of grains that is ground to a medium fineness. We've been on it since last year and get ALOT of eggs, chickens are healthy.

Located in Mountain Home. I have chicks hatching next Saturday if anyone is interested. Australorp, Australorp crosses, Speckled Sussex crosses. I do have Speckled Sussex but I am pretty sure all those chicks are spoken for.
