The SBEL thing is very interesting to me. I have never heard of this before. I actually have an Americana rooster and a leghorn hen. So, if I hatch some of their fertilized eggs I'd get the SBEL? Is this a mix or breed that people know about? I was thinking about selling chicks/fertile eggs next spring.

Yes that's what you would have! There are quite a few that like them I think, I have bought them from DMRippy here on BYC, she had an ad running for a long time and lots of people bought shipped SBEL hatching eggs from her, also there are lots on the UT thread that like these, but the lady that was breeding them down here moved. I've gotten eggs from Birdguy in Id Falls and most of my current birds are from those. His Wheaten Roo came from pawtraitart and the egg the roo hatched from was super blue, so the SBEL offspring has been laying a really nice blue color. They do lighten up over time and are not quite as vibrant as the original Ameraucana lines they come from but they lay like crazy so it's more fun than the plain white eggs. I have a Wheaten Am Roo I am putting over my SBELs for 2nd generation SBEL's, The eggs get a little bluer but the production is not quite as excellent as the 1st generation. I may pick up a leghorn pullet or two for SBEL's this fall or in the spring, I can't decide if I want to hatch any more this fall. You should definitely go for it! When I have advertised them on KSL in the past, they sell like crazy. Now I use my SBEL hens for OE's with my Marans roo and the OE's lay really great too, these turnout mostly blue or black with puffy cheeks, they look like Ameraucana's, with an occasional orange feather in the neck area.

Looking to rehome 4 ducks.

2 Anconas and 2 Khakis.

They can all 4 go or you can split them 2 and 2. Anconas stay together and Khakis stay together.

Anconas are a female/male pair, 2 years old. The Khakis are both male... one is 1 year old the other is 1/2 year old.

They are all lovely, and I would keep them if I was taking 100% care of them how I wish them to be taken care of, but it isn't happening and here is why. I have a pekin and chickens. They have ripped open the eye of my pekin 4x now and have almost killed him many times. They also have killed 2 chickens and injured many. Not trying to mate, even the female grabs them and just goes into neck snapping mode. So instead of free roaming they are living in their run with coop - which is nice and large - but no green food grows in there and they don't get 24hr access to their pool anymore.

I wish for a home that they are not penned up 24/7 and can roam as they wish, eat lots of greens, and swim all the time. If allowed the young male Khaki lives in a small kiddie pool. When allowed to free roam for a few days he'll even sleep in it over night, head tucked away, and fast asleep floating.

Honestly though, they are great ducks and I just want them to be happy and do not have the means to fence of a *large* section of my yard for them.

Does anyone have a chick or will have one hatching soon you'd be willing to part with? I would even possibly consider a quail chick.
I have my broody silkie who is an excellent mother. She is due to hatch her eggs in about 4 days. This is the first time in a long time I have let her go. Well my disabled hen was staying in the coop with her as they are best buds. No thought about it. Well today when my broody was off the nest she got on it and being her flighty fally disabled self smashed most of them open and killed them.
My broody is only on a couple more which candling them last night the hopes don't look good. I would throw a couple in the incubator but I don't want her waiting another 21 days because she sits and she sits good and almost starves herself.
