Hello Idaho thread members… I am looking for OEGB breeders, of 'nice' quality. Does anyone up north of me know of such a breeder? I am looking to get away from hatchery birds and into as nice a bird(s) as I can afford. I like BBRed, SDW but would love to find someone within a reasonable distance with any quality birds. It is not often that I wished I lived closer to Texas, but there are a bunch of good breeders down that way.

If you can direct me to someone, I would very much appreciate the assistance,

Best to all of you Idaho folks and your birds,

RJ

Looking to rehome 4 ducks.

2 Anconas and 2 Khakis.

They can all 4 go or you can split them 2 and 2. Anconas stay together and Khakis stay together.

Anconas are a female/male pair, 2 years old. The Khakis are both male... one is 1 year old the other is 1/2 year old.

They are all lovely, and I would keep them if I was taking 100% care of them how I wish them to be taken care of, but it isn't happening and here is why. I have a pekin and chickens. They have ripped open the eye of my pekin 4x now and have almost killed him many times. They also have killed 2 chickens and injured many. Not trying to mate, even the female grabs them and just goes into neck snapping mode. So instead of free roaming they are living in their run with coop - which is nice and large - but no green food grows in there and they don't get 24hr access to their pool anymore.

I wish for a home that they are not penned up 24/7 and can roam as they wish, eat lots of greens, and swim all the time. If allowed the young male Khaki lives in a small kiddie pool. When allowed to free roam for a few days he'll even sleep in it over night, head tucked away, and fast asleep floating.

Female Anocna - Abigail
Male Ancona - Daisy
1yr old Khaki - Quackers
1/2yr old Khaki - Maggie

Honestly though, they are great ducks and I just want them to be happy and do not have the means to fence of a *large* section of my yard for them.

I have a few girls that are about 3 years old. They have pretty much stopped laying. Any tips on finding out which ones have stopped laying and are just mooching on the welfare system provided by me? I would like to add some other breeds to diversify my eggs colors, but I need to single out those that have stopped laying.
