I wholeheartedly agree in freedom of speech.(got in big trouble in 2nd grade for expressing that). I'll brag a little my ancestor was the big sis of Thomas Jefferson,writer of the Declaration of Independence. They never meant for people to abuse each other with their opinions. I think the non-chicken threads are interesting and a nice way to connect with our fellows.I'm new to BYC and never even posted before. I really like this forum and so far the people are funny,interesting and kind. I'm also a Christian who beleives everyone should choose their own path in life without fear of persecution. As for devil chicken guy, you really made my day. I was burning some excess brush in a pit today and got ratted out to the fire chief So I needed a laugh.Thanks

I have mixed feelings about political/religious/armageddon threads. Usually, they only divide a message board..i have never seen any good come from it. BYC has an amazingly positive atmosphere and I would hate to see that soured.
