After doing this, I thought that there's no way someone hasn't thought of this before. Forgive me if this is a repeat. I had a few extra spots in my small LG incubator and I have been having trouble with my humidity dropping quickly. I would have to add water every two or three days which I thought was too often to be messing around in the bator. I took some leftover Easter eggs from the kids and drilled a 1/4" hole in the top of the fat end. I put a hunk of wet sponge in and snapped it together. It fits in the turner just like a regular egg and releases the water rather slowly. You can put in as many or a few as you need to control your humidity level. Again, sorry if this is an old idea, It just seemed like a no brainer to me.

good idea

Good idea I came up with another. I have eggs hatching at different days. So I took rails off my turner and left some. Now when the day comes to put them on the floor of the incubater I do that and leave them alone. I don't have to open and close the lid to turn the others.
It keeps my temp and humidity on track.
