What's your main goal for your flock? Pets? Eggs? Bantams that aren't super fliers are great for smaller settings, such as silkies or bantam cochins, and the neighbours tend to think they're adorable which helps to avoid the chicken stigma!

Usually I find one that the most dominant, would be the loudest of the bunch. The lowest of the pecking order seem more docile and most quite.

Chicken have personalities and they will show you who they are. Breeds can pinpoint a likely characteristic. But not always the case. But that just my point of view.
