Ideal chicks still haven't come. Are they dead?

I orded some chicks from IDEAL a couple weeks ago they shipped out wednesday and I still do not have them(Eastern Kentucky) As far as I know no food was put in with them. I have also heard that day old chicks can only be sustained by their yolk for 3 days so i get the chicks tomorrow or the next day will they all be dead? I'm really scared of what might have happened to them

I think they should be fine if you get them tomorrow. Have you tried tracking them?

If they are dead when they arrive they say they will replace them. Also if they couldnt contact you on day of shippment they will not ship them.

Ideal doesnt have tracking numbers. They are trying to get them but the stupid PO will not allow them.

OK they came this morning and my 2 silkies were ok but one of my 2 ducklings didn't make it and was smashed in the corner, How do I get a reimbursement?

Call ideal and they will credit your money immediately. They cannot ship out one or two of anything so unless you want 15 more you will just get your money back

Now both of my ducklings are dead(they were sexed as pullets) and a chick is acting very strangly

if you haven't already -- add some sugar to their water and dip their beaks into it. keep watching them to make sure they are drinking the water and not just standing in or by it. if they look "dead" warm them up before giving up on them. bake a potato in the microwave, wrap it in a towel, nestle the birds around it and let them set .

Sorry to hear about your bad luck.
I had shipment got out on wednesday as well and they sent it to the wrong adress. I got the order on friday afternoon but they were in bad shape 3 died last night and 5 more today.
