I didn't see any review threads for Ideal Hatchery's Assorted Chick (all standard breeds), so figured I would start one. It is always fun to see what surprises people get!

I ordered 25 of the assorted chick straight run. Here is what arrived.

It looks like I got the buff delight box!

8 Appear to be solid buff in coloration, maybe some are light red.
Two of them are a bit softer in color and have lighter beaks. So, perhaps there are two or more breeds here. Time will tell!

1 White chick with black stripes

4 Black chicks with brown faces - probably Black Star pullets
    3 Solid Blacks IMG_4546.jpg
2 small white with black spots - probably California Whites IMG_4552.jpg
2 Small Whites - different feet color, so probably two different breeds IMG_4553.jpg
2 Whites that are developing black/white feathers

Chicks are almost a month old now. I lost 10 of them within the first few days, but the sixteen left are doing well. It was a decent variety, but nothing terribly exciting.

    For Pullets I got
    2 California White
    1 White Rock
    4 Black Star
    1 Buff Rock

    For Roosters
    1 Delaware
    1 Black Andalusian
    5 New Hampshire
    1 Buff Rock

Pullets 50/50 cockerels. Not bad! I never order straight run, I’m afraid about getting too much roosters
