I am really happy with the d'Uccles...they are super friendly and look even prettier in person.

I am currently waiting for my latest order of chicks from Ideal to arrive...Blue Mille Fleurs, Self Blue and Porcelain d'Uccles...along with Silkies, standard Cochins, Sussex, Faverolles, Welsummers, Lt. Brahmas and Australorps.

I've been really happy with Ideals standard cochins and brahmas. They've all been very healthy birds. There black langshans are wonderful and the spitzhauben I just got is adorable!!

I got about 45 chicks in several breeds from Ideal this spring. They arrived in less than 24 hours after being shipped, none died, and all that I still have (some went to other homes) are now insanely healthy at 2 weeks of age. Emphasis on "insane" when referring to the brabanters.

I don't know how well any of these will match breed standards when they grow up, but I am very happy with both quality and customer care up to this point.

Every one has to start somewhere. I have had hatchery(IDEAL) chickens for about 11 years now have been happy with them and the quality. My cochin rooster(Banty) would of given any quote "show bird" a run for there money and he lived to be 11(lost to prey bird). He was a blk one.

I got all my chicks from Ideal. All were alive when we picked them up and we got 12 RIR packing peanuts. The 1 chick that ended up not making it they credited back to my card. Here are a couple pics.

I have gotten all but 2 of my birds from Ideal and Im very happy with them, I don't know how close to standard they are and really don't care, Im not into showing the birds , but all are happy and very very friendly, except one Delaware Roo( I think it is a roo anyway that kinda has an attitude at the tender age of 6 weeks), Ive only lost one babie out of the 30 I have so far and it could have been from the shipping, I really dont know, I know it looked perfectly healthy the day before it passed so ? Anyway I would recommend Ideal Hatchery for a backyard flock if you are just looking for birds that lay well and will be friendly, for birds to show I would probably turn to a breeder. Sandy

I guess the 20 chicks I picked up from TSC yesterday and today are from Ideal as well.

5 Red Sex Links, 5 yellow chicks- Amberlinks and 10 assorted Bantams today. I know I have a Partridge Cochin Bantam, hopefully a gold and silver Sebright and the rest might be various colored OEGBs.

The chicks are all healthy and adorable. I am sure I will like them as much as the ones I get straight from Ideal.
