Ideal hatchery chicks...

These are my two Mille Fleur d'Uccles from Ideal. I got them last Sept though. I think they are both trying to go broody now, grrrr.

My newest shipment from Ideal arrived on April 22nd and all 25 are growing great. I need to get new pics of them soon!

Good luck with your new babies

Not happy with the unexpected surprise!

But I got cute little boogers under those broodies and hopefully they will be alright with their new mommas.

Glad some of those boogers are going to their new homes next week.

This is day 2 with my 14 chicks from Ideal and all of them not only arrived in great shape, all of them are doing fantastic. Very active, curious and well, gosh-darned cute!

We bought ours from a local feed store that obtains their chicks from Ideal. They seem to be doing well. 3 bluffs, 3 americanas, and 1 production red. They're about 10 days old now.

I love the photos! BEAUTIFUL chickens and I am sooo happy to hear of so many fantastic experiences with one of the hatcheries! THANKS SO MUCH! More photos? Please?

Well, the Ideal chicks were my second order of chickies. And they are still doing well.

I put them in with my first batch of chicks--from Estes. They were a week old.

The Estes chicks are doing VERY well also. I was a little afraid there would be problems putting the new chicks in with the 'old' chicks, but no, everyone got along very well, even though there were some banties in the second order, so they are REALLY tiny in comparison with the week old Welsummers and RIRs and Ameraucanas. They run right under them!

I do have many many little feeders and waterers in there.

And it IS nice that hatchery chicks are doing well.

I LOVE hatching out chicks in my incubator. It is a thrill. BUT unfortunately I cannot order pullets from the incubator, so if I want a bunch of layers, it is really a lot more efficient to get them from a hatchery.

If I want banties, in the future, I will try to hatch them myself. And my new 'flock' of Blue Slate turkeys is hatching as I type.

Ok--I think I am rambling. Sorry.
