Ideal Hatchery just called....

    ... and my first order of chicks and duckings are arriving two weeks early! They were supposed to arrive at the end of the month but they're going to be here next week!!!!!! I don't know if I'm ready because our coop for the older chicks isn't ready yet because of all the rain out here in the Pacific NW. I guess we'll have to work extra hard on it when the sun finally does shine- hopefully this weekend.

    I called the PO to let them know of the date change and the woman I talked to said everyone at the PO knows to be looking for them; I thought that was so sweet. She also mentioned that people will order chicks but not be home when the chicks arrive and that they "have a hell of a time getting people to come and pick up their orders". So, some of the PO workers will give them some water and make sure they're all okay until their new owners come and pick them up. I love these people already- so much for going postal.

    Man am I jealous!!!! (No not really) I sure wish that Ideal would call me and send my fuzzy butts 2 weeks early. [​IMG] I am in count down mode and it is 16 days to delivery day and it can NOT come soon enough!!!!! I just don't know what I am going to do to pass the time. Trudy [​IMG] [​IMG]
