Ideal Marans chicks arrived...

and I"m happy with them! after I ordered them, I read all kinds of negative things about the marans chicks people had gotten from ideal. Mine are very friendly, they all have nice dark legs, one even has feathers on its shanks! Now I just hope they will actually lay dark brown eggs. I wonder if they changed their breeders to a better quality? has anyone else ordered marans from ideal lately?

My Meyer hatchery marans lay dark eggs ! I was supprised but overjoyed and they are also very friendly.

Marans should have white legs, not dark legs.
