Can someone that orders from ideal poultry help with this question. When you go to their site and fill your cart is their a way to see the shiping price without having to login and fill out billing information. I emailed them a few days ago but got no answer. It would only be 15 chicks to Ennis, Texas

There is no shipping price. They charge a small order charge of $7 if you order less than 100 birds, and $1 for every breed that you order less than a quarter box (25) of, and that's it.

Exactly. I ordered 13 this year, so got charged $7 for small order, and then $5 for the five different breeds/sex. Total order cost $12

BOXING CHARGE
Add $1.00 service charge for each variety or sex of less than one-fourth box (25).

SMALL ORDER CHARGE
For ship orders of less than one full box (100), add $7.00 handling charge

Awesome! I kind of thought thats how it was but thats quite a bit less then other breeders/ hatcheries i've looked at and thought i must be wrong. Thanks for the help!:celebrate:woot

You're welcome. I ordered 3 Barnevelder Pullets, 3 Welsummer Pullets, 3 Easter Eggers Pullets, 3 Barred Rocks Pullets, and 1 Barred Rock Male. All arrived in great condition and just about to turn 3 months.

I've always found that if you put in your zip and hit update all charges for the order appear as well as the shipping date.

I've got the welsummer, barnevelder and EE from them too, about the same age as yours, ee's a bit younger. Wellies and Barnies look great but very standoffish, particularly the Barnies. EE's were huge fat sassy chicks, moderately friendly/approachable. One is mostly white which I haven't seen from them. Have some delawares from them that are super friendly, literally can't keep them off me as opposed to a pair from McMurray which I haven't been able to touch since the day they were lifted from the shipping box. I've generally been really happy with my birds from Ideal other than some blue quail d'anvers that don't fit the breed profile, one with a single comb. This guys first crow (screech) was at 4.5 weeks!
