Yes, when we ordered we only ordered 9 chicks and 6 of those were bantams so we got ten extra roosters. The roosters were Rhode Island reds.

Ten roosters?!?

What did you do with all of them?

Ideal's as good as any other major hatchery. I got my order from them a few weeks ago. I ordered 9 chicks of 5 different breeds. They shipped me 17 with extras of most of the breeds I ordered. All are healthy and doing great. Ideal confirmed for me that the extras were not extra males added for warmth during shipping. Too bad I don't have room for them all. Now I need to find home for the extras.
