Mom used to set her incubator temp at 99.8 and I am hearing some of you with varying temps, but close to that. What is your range? I have been setting my incubator temp since last night and I am finally at 99.0, so I think I might only need one or two more increases to be perfect. I will be loading it down with RIR eggs because I am about to kill my last meat chicken.......only have about 6 or 7 in freezer camp, so I will want some replacements.

Hi!
I keep my incubators with fans at 99.5 at egg height.
My incubators without fans, I keep at 101.5 at egg height.
Good luck with your RIR eggs!

Thanks. I did a bit of playing with the incubator and at 9:30am it went to 99.5. I killed my last rooster intended for meat and then at 1:00pm I lost a few points of a degree and was down to 99.3, so I am trying to get it perfect.
Might wait until tomorrow to put the eggs in.
