Ideals on redesigning coop

For 17 chickens I'd put two roosts across that 8' end and put in four nests. Just rip out everything else.

I would put a huge open window (maybe 2 feet tall and 6 wide, covered with wire) open from the coop to the run area. That would give the coop lots of ventilation but the wired opening would be under the roof so no worry about rain or snow blowing in.

And I agree with the rest...just open it all up.

I would install poop shelves under the perches.
