ideas for extra income no budget?**UPDATE PAGE 8!!!**

You could sell to the dorm students on campus, homemade birthday cakes, pizza size cookies are the easiest to make. Or other desserts, comfort foods etc. Post flyers for advertising in the student center and in the dorms. Most campuses hire student assistants. Sometimes its just to answer phones and you might be able to study while working. Check with the financial aid office. Do you check into scholarships? - use the web as well as the college. Find someone to carpool to class.

Type term papers for students
Write resumes for people
What about website design
Cleaning homes
Taking in laundry and ironing
Shop/run errands for shut ins and elderly folks
Provide meals for shut ins and elderly folks
Pet sit
House sit
Lawn care

Afterschool care in THEIR home

These are a couple of things that you could do with minimal financial and time output, yet coordinate with your family time. Good luck to you!

o.k. the laundry thing popped out at me. Hmmmm I may try that see if I get any bites. And I have cut down everything I possibly can literally no tv, no cable, no cells, limits on electric, short combo baths for the kids, gcats on no feed hv sold all but two, chickens on limited feed they r sustaining themsels, barn cats are on their own, dog gets scraps, pigs on limited feed and scraps fresh, I limit the car useage extremely, his truck goes NOWHERE unless job call (1 ton dually with welder huge gas guzzler), made homemade laundry soap, hanging on line, canning garden stuff and things for christmas, quilts for two kids for christmas (other two got theirs last year, made two homemade dolls for girls christmas, made gage (youngest) mhomemade bug box and collector jar kit for christmas, making girls homemade fizzy bath balls christmas, can you tell I am worried about Christmas? lol, garden is gone now the heat just killed it. Ebay is great if you have the financial means to do it which I don't right now. I have decided to sell my antique china and my expensive crystal stemware not sure how yet but I figure I never use it anyways and it is just taking up space so I can part with it to help the family...maybe list it on craigslist not sure if anyone would bite but I can try. Last time I checked the china alone was worth around 3000.00 because I have the complete set with all accessory bowls etcetera...I know I would not get anywhere near that but right now anything would be good. I have the kids on light patrol for electricity useage, kids are riding the bus no school back and forth trips, unplugged the outside fridge, only one light in the barn instead of three, had the exterior 6.00 month street light disconnected, ummm that is all I can think of right now. But the ideas are great I personally cannot do too much out of the home with four kids and school but where there is a will there's a way. Hopefully other folks are getting some ideas from this too. I know I am not the only one struggling. Thanks!

I know you said that you are cutting down on electrical. But another thing to do if you are not already doing it - is unplug anything that has reminder lights that are on all the time - toaster, coffee pot etc. Also, you said you do not have TV but for others - we have a spurge protector on the TV, satellite dish and computer, we completely turn off the protectors at night and our electrical went down about $35.00 a month. Grant you there are only two of us, but our average electrical bill for an ALL electric 2200 sq foot house is $68.00 a month.

Good luck and sorry that you are having a tough go of it - but you have a wonderful attitude and sounds like you are doing all the right things for yourself and family.

I love all of these posts.

I am still working, but my DH has been out of work since December, and with 2 teenage boys, money is very tight.

I am getting a lot of good ideas from you all.

yes let's keep it going. I am finding ideas how to recycle things from around the house into toys/gifts for the kids. I am learning how to sew better from the internet. Getting great recipes for home canning which I am also going to use for gifts simple things. the kids are learning right along too....how to conserve and why. How to help without it being stressfull. I think this hard times has brought us all a little closer by having to work together and a little harder and in doing without we are all learning lessons we needed. The stress getsw to all of us but I am learning that sometimes you have to hit the bottom of the hole in order to find a grip to climb back up.

There is this company and probably a few more that i dont know about that need Dispatchers. You would need yahoo messenger and a fax machine. You would meet each morning on yahoo messenger, they post the names of the guys that need a load and where they are at and you would get on internet truckstop ($25) a month. You would look at the loads offered on the internet truckstop and call the number and book the load. Then call the guy or yahoo messenger him that needs the load and tell him you booked him a load. It pays 3% of the load. So if you booked a $ 500 load then you would make $15.00. If you were pretty serious about it i bet you could make a couple hundred a week if not more. I start on monday. Oh and 95% of the drivers are in Pickup trucks not semis.

You could beekeep and sell the honey at your local market. It takes little time to raise bee's and you will get a ton of honey to sell
