Ideas for heat using car battery and timer to go on at night

Boat trailer lights may be sealed when there made but there not by the time they make it to the water. I have never seen one that didn't pour water out of the lights when it came out of the water. Mine has never busted when I backed down in to the water an my housings are busted. Those bulbs take getting wet very well. That being said, turning it off before refilling wouldn't be a bad idea. As for the waters current draw on the battery. Sealing the socket would keep that from being an issue.

With the amount of insulation you would have to put on the assembly, I am not sure the 5w bulb would be highly relevant

My husband points out that you could in principle heat YOUR ENTIRE HOUSE IN ALASKA with a 5w bulb (given enough time for things to warm up) if you had "good enough" insulation

The point is that items that require to be used by humans or animals tend not to be possible or practical to insulate to that degree.
