Hello all! I'm about to do a sort of “revamp” on my DIY coop. Currently, it has 3 nest boxes inside that I will be removing to make room for some new hens. Instead, I plan on building 2 new external double nest boxes, one for each end of my coop, that will ideally be removable for easy cleaning.

Anyone have any hanging/mounting ideas for this? Haven't been able to find anything online.

Not sure if this fits in with your thoughts, but I've used plastic basins as nest boxes and they work just fine - either on the ground on raised, on a shelf.

Does your feed comes in nylon mesh bags?
    Nest boxes
In my nest boxes I fold a feed bag to fit (nest boxes are 1 ft³). When a bag gets soiled; fold a new one; pop out the soiled; pop in the new.
Frozen poop just peels off in below freezing temperatures and just flakes off in summer when left out in the sun to bake and dry.

I have 65 trips around the sun it is the best method I have stumbled upon.

Make sure the twine is removed from the open end of the bag it can get tangled around your birds.

    French cleat?

I've never done it, but the idea is intriguing.

That looks exactly like what I'm looking for! Thanks BertS!
