I love all the ideas. I have a tractor covered with hdw cloth. The framing is rotting out, so, I need to re-build it. I like the idea of a poop tray integrated into the broody pen it'self. that way, it can be placed under any of the perches, without having to install/uninstall poop trays when not in use.

I have a foldable dog pen too that's done everything from broody duty to chicks acclimating to the coop.

I like my brooder set up but one downside is since the chicks technically grow up in the run, they have to be acclimated to the coop after. It wasn't a huge deal, they quickly adapted and it took about a week to go from brooder in the run to roosting in the coop. I don't plan on adding chicks with any regularity, or else I would've had a chick safe area built into the coop.
