Idea's on making mosquito bites better

If you've got organic apple cider vinegar on hand, dab some on a cottonball and apply to the bite. Works like a charm! *stings at first*

I found this when I was desperate for relief. Never would have believed it would work, but it does
First clean the bite with rubbing alcohol. The sooner you get to it, the better. Then...apply scotch tape and leave on for at least a few hours. I get relief within minutes and the bite never does get itchy after that.

Lanacane. Tops itch instantly. I'm allergic to everything. Even skeeter bites give me massive welts. The Lanacane cream works for me. It's either that or a large does of benedry and to scratch my skin off. I feel for you!!

OK, that's much the same as Campho Phenique, which I used to use before I found out about the protein breaking down properties of ammonia and meat tenderizer. It does help, but IMHO, ammonia works best. If you get it on within maybe 3 minutes, you can't even see a bite half an hour later, much less feel anything.

If I were going on a trip I'd hunt for a product like afterbite that has ammonia, since it's a handy portable gadget. Used to carry something similar when I hiked and camped.

Most everything mentioned here helps, but to me, nothing beats neutralizing the toxin immediately.
