Identification help for rooster

Hello,
New here, been lurking for a while now and I have to say I have learned so much!

I have a year old (maybe a bit older) Rooster that I rescued last September from the soup pot. He is my only rooster in a flock of 18 hens and he is just amazing. We love him dearly. He is gentle, friendly and super curious when we are out and about. Irrelevant I suppose... I have been trying to determine what breed(s) he may be and while I see similar looking ones I can't seem to pinpoint it. I assume he is a mixed breed and the lady I got him and four other girls from had barnyard mixes.

ETA: He is a big boy with multiple colors on him. Brown, black/blue, yellow gold on his neck.

Any help would be much appreciated!

He is definitely a mix. Probably has barred Plymouth rock or Delaware in his parentage. I don't think it's possible to narrow it down more than that.

Thank you, I assumed some barred rock as well based on his chest coloring. Appreciate your response.
