Identify breed and gender

I am new to chickens and am hoping to have help identifying the breed and gender of some of my chicks. They hatched April 22.

I believe that number 1 is a boy. I’m not sure about the rest I hope they are girls!

It’s so hard to tell at a young age! I always go crazy guessing if my chicks are boys or girls!

Yes!!! I love looking at them each day and see if my guess has changed.

To me it looks like no1 is a Rhode Island Red cockerel, no2 is an Andalusian pullet, no3 an Olive Egger pullet, no4 a black Australorp pullet, and no5 another Andalusian, with a good sized comb. Could go either way, but leaning pullet for now

I agree with @fluffycrow, except I’m uncertain about breed on #4. It looks like it has some copper showing on its chest, and yellow legs rather than the pink legs of an Australorp. I’m wondering if maybe it’s a black sexlink pullet? If I’m imagining the copper it may be a Jersey Giant.

Good catch, I totally missed it. I think BSL is more probable
