It's a cockerel.

The "strain" if you will is definitely a sex-link. However HIS coloring is caused by a breeding of two sex-links together. When two red sex-links (male and female) are bred together, that is the coloration you get.

would have to say red sex link.....he is very pretty though.. you might have a hard time selling him because hes not pure breed and wouldnt do a breeder any good, BUT I WOULD TAKE HIM (IF I HAD ROOM) CAUSE HE IS A PRETTY ROO......
