Identifying breed

I am new to chickens and I just got some chicks. I think I was given the wrong chicks. I got a couple Cuckoo Marans, but after researching the varieties in my flock, it seems like they are not actually Cuckoo Marans. There was another breed in the brooder at the feed store and I think the worker wasn't sure which was which. Can you help me figure out what breed I actually have? Thanks!

I think you are right....not the correct breed.
My advice would be to call or go in and find out what breeds they got in at the time.
The Marans should have been nearly all black with a little yellow on the chest and a dot on the head.

Thanks for the confirmation! I did call them and they said they have been getting a lot of birds and they are not sure which ones they had in the brooder with the Cuckoo Marans on the day that I bought them.

Can they tell you what breeds they had in? It doesn't matter WHAT was in with the Marans just what was in the store.

Did you pay a higher price for Marans (that you clearly do not have)?

Yes I did pay a higher price. They have had about 35-40 different varieties over the past 2 weeks. I think I am just going to go in later today to try and find out. Thanks!

Write down every breed they had in. We can help figure it out from there.
Some will be an immediate cross off....probably most will be.

Having paid extra I would be a bit more than miffed. If they have ones selling at higher costs they need to make darn sure whoever is picking them up knows what they are doing.

It kinda looks like a cream legbar or a dutch bantam I have no clue, she's so pretty though!

Thanks! Here are some more picks. She's on the left in both of them. The brighter brown one in the first picture is a brown leghorn and the second picture is an Easter Egger on the right. I have three of these Easter Eggers and they all look like that one.
