) theres no way to know for a few more weeks though.. i'll keep posting pictures as he/she gets older

i mean so far he's the only chick without a very noticeable comb... in one of the pics you can sort of see it but its not pronounced... could that be a good sign?

I think it really can change around 2 months, so I'd wait it out a bt more but, please do post pics to update! I've got a white frizzle cochin bantan that had less comb then my pullets when I got him and that's one of the reasons I picked him, I thought for sure he was a pullet and then at 7 weeks it just grew over night and has been growing more ever since

Raleigh's poultry farm in kings park :) I got a dozen assorted eggs so they're all a mystery! But out of 12 I have nine healthy happy chicks so I can't complain :)
Where do you get yours?

Wegot ours as day old sexed pullets at the agway in Mount Sinai but for the supplies we go to Talmadge Farms in riverhead cause they have soooooooo much more in the way of chicken supplies:p

ok so now Rasputin is 4 weeks old! s/he's gotten much bigger and has a lot more feathers... any idea on breed and/or gender? thanks!!! (sorry about the mess in the brooder... i woke up this morning and their food was everywhere BUT the feeder- so i had to add one that they couldnt tip over :) )

s/he is my only chick without a significant comb... and the only one that's not at least slightly pink/red yet...
