Identifying my new flock!

I think she is correct on the barred rock, marans have white legs and those are obviously yellow and dominiques have rose comb while that looks single.
If you can find a way to take individual side shots so we could see the saddle feathers we could help you find that roo

or....you can inspect them yourself. If you look at the feathers at the base of the tails, if there are thin pointy ones then that is your roo...

If you look closely at the hen in the back of the pic#2 it looks like she is missing feathers off the back of her head. Same for the hens in pic#3. My hens look like this from my roo grabbing them.

Nothing is wrong with the eggs. However, neither my SIL nor myself were supposed to have a roo. So now we are trying to decided where/which is the roo.

Thank you for your responses.

The thing I wanted to ask about was the damaged combs? Would this have been from weather exposure?

Thanks,

Lori

You cannot tell if an egg is fertile just from cracking it open. This is a huge misconception. Just because it has a blastoderm..that is normal all eggs do. A lot of people thing eggs have been fertilized when they see a blood spot when they crack one..This is also false. The blood spot is created by a blood vessle rupturing when the egg (yolk) is released at the start of the processes. I did not see any roosters in your pictures.
