Id'ing chicks

I think I should have Welbars, Spangled Russian Orloff, Cream Brabanter, Polish Crested, Black Australorp, Blue Laced Red Wyandotte and Silver Laced Wyandotte...not 100% because I didn't realize until I got home that some of the labels just said "Assorted Rare" and I couldn't totallly remember what I got, plus the fact that the chicks were all mixed at the point. - Kevin's Mom

So, I bought some chicks at Orschlen this weekend and I'm wondering if they gave me the right chicks. I got a lot of different ones and some I am sure about others I'm confused about. I'll number and post each chick in a different post so I can keep them straight on here.

It’s a lot easier if we could see the feet to confirm if they are feathered/not and to see what color the shanks are. It’s also hard to tell what comb type it has from those pictures. Looks like a possible GLW or BLRW though.

Both of these are blue and look like BAs to me. Again, can’t see the feet on the second bird.

Egger of some sort. Might be a little young to say for sure. A lot of breeds can look like this as chicks.

Not Polish. Can we see the feet?


ALL of these birds are really young. Breed ID will be much more accurate once they are 6-8 weeks old or when they are fully feathered, whichever comes first.

ALL of these birds are really young. Breed ID will be much more accurate once they are 6-8 weeks old or when they are fully feathered, whichever comes first.

I just realized only the 1st photo of 2 or 3 that I had for each breed uploaded. I fixed it but I don't think any of them help with the feet issue. I'll have to take more for that.

Ok. From what I can tell now by process of elimination #5 above should be Russian Orloff. They didn't even have any Easter Eggers (supposedly). Took a couple more pics of it below. Is that possible? Everything else is accounted for that I bought except for the yellow chick confusion below. LOL

And here are some more pics of #10 (above) which has feather feet and is yellow. I only had 3 yellow chicks (which I thought were 1 Turken, 1 Buff Orpington and 1 Crested Polish).

1st yellow chick - Turken is obvious so I didn't upload pic.

2nd yellow chick - died (no feathered feet, see 1st 2 yellow chick pics)

3rd yellow chick - (#10 above) and the feathered footed pics below.

So, now I don't know what the dead yellow chick (2nd) was or was the still living (3rd) yellow chick is.

This one is living and has feathered feet and I can't identify it (more pics of this above #10 chick). Should have been Crested Polish or Buff Orpington but I am guessing is neither.

The only other ones I'm not pretty sure about are these ( I have 2). I think they should be Blue Laced Red Wyandottes. This is #1 above but I got the legs .

So the yellow chick #10 not only has feathered feet, I just noticed 5 toes. I guess it is a Favorelle?
