Sounds like you're doing everything you can! I think mites or lice are inevitable even if you keep the cleanest ever coop. These pests are determined! Plus, they're tiny so you can't really tell until there's an infestation.Ah dang. That’s terrible, I feel so awful! Poor things. I’m praying this takes care of them.
So terribleWow good catch. The article mentions the scabs so looks like you're right.
Yes so make sure you never ware the shoes you go into coop with in house.Thank you! This is so frustrating! We’ve never had issues before and I just had surgery so it wasn’t what I wanted to deal with right now. But I am going to take care of it asap! Humans can’t pick mites up form chickens can we?
Thank you! I will not!Yes so make sure you never ware the shoes you go into coop with in house.
I use peat mossThank you so much! That makes me feel a bit better at least. Yes it seems like there couldn’t have been worse timing lol that’s the way life goes I guess.
Do you know, if I switched their bedding out to sand in the coop, would that be better to keep mites at bay? They currently have hemp and while I do like it, we’re been thinking of sand for a while. Maybe this is the push I need?
Don't feel awful! We all go thru a lot and notice these things when God wants us to know about them.Ah dang. That’s terrible, I feel so awful! Poor things. I’m praying this takes care of them.
