if a chick hatches early is it going to survive? another ? on page 2

I'm on day 19 with my eggs too! They are silkies. I see one has slightly chipped the shell. I'm not sure about the membrane. It's a very small chip. The egg is wiggling around and I think it's chirping. I started hearing chirping earlier today. It's hard to tell which egg the chirping is coming from though. I see other eggs wiggling too.
I'm completely new with this lol.

if your incubator was running a little on the warm side some people have eggs hatch a day or two early. Most of the time as I have read they are fine as long as they have absorbed their yolk.

I agree, I think the incubator is running a little warm. I had 18 hatch out on day 19 and all were fine. I noticed the incubators all read between 100 -102 I couldn't tweak them back to 99.5 because I had the eggs in them so I just crossed my fingers. They were all healthy and yolk sacks absorbed.

My only chick from my first round of hatching ended up hatching on day 19 and is growing like a weed!

How high is the humidity? Can you see it moving still?

my humidity is around 77 and its not moving but its chirping

Well good humidity, so I bet it hatches. I will be watching. Good luck, this is such a hard part having to watch and worry.

yeah if its not out by the time i get home from work which is 8:30 should i help him or can i help him? the egg thats hatching is laying against another egg and the side thats got the zip is the side thats against the other egg so should i move the egg?
