If a hen hatched only 1 chick will she still go broody ?

My Silkie hen hatched out 1 chick after that I stuck 4 eggs under her will she take care of the 1 chick and still be broody ? Thank you

I'm in the same situation and my hen is a first time mom and doing very well! I felt bad for my one lonely little chick, so I bought another chick at the feed store and put in under momma...she excepted it very well and momma and chicks are happy!
