If anyone is online I need your help ASAP

What color is their poop? A question...why was the manager putting tar paper around their coop? They could be stressed from the banging and to be honest, I would give them the Sav-A-Chick before you do anything. Try and go out with a flashlight and see if you can get them calm enough to at least take a drink, even if you have to pick them up and dip their beaks. If you stay calm, they will calm down and feel safe. Check in the morning and evaluate then whether or not they need the Corid. It just seems very sudden for cocci to show up and no symptoms before this.
Already tried the flash light and even brought their water container to them, but no go...I am wondering if they got out, when he was apparently putting on the tar paper, he took half the lock off the door and there was a brick holding it shut...not sure though...but yes, they were definitely stressed. NOT a CLUE why he was putting tar paper on their coop. I had told him to stay away from them till I got home. He does not tend to listen, especially if a girl is saying it...

Their poo is a medium brown and really runny, as in run down the side of the coop, from one spot they get up on, where they laying boxes are going to be hung...the hole is there, covered with plywood screwed on over it till they are needed, or near POL.

Can stress bring on cocci this fast?

ok I am back, I just remembered, one of the chicks, my top girl, and biggest, was laying down and is usually in the pack that runs to meet me. I did check her and she got up and seemed ok, except for the diahrea.

So should I rip the tar paper off??? I did open the windows half way also...but not sure if I should leave them open all night, after midnight is when the temps will really drop and fast till dawn.

What do you all think? I was thinking cocci...stress, being off the medicated, I only feed one bag, then regular, like a kids immunizations.

What a bone head he is...GRRRRR

What meds did you put in? Leave the paper there and shut the window, if that's what you normally do. It could be cocci, but I doubt it, unless it has been there and the stress of today just suddenly made it worse. Again, I doubt it.

The windows have half inch hardware cloth on the inside. I only close them at night, so the coop stays reasonable warm...so save a chik for now, for morning. and YES they are in their corner and quited down now. Not sleeping yet like they usually are...but settled in their night huddle.

Ok, will **** the windows, put sav a chik in their water for morning, and cocci could be there, I stopped their medicated feed a bit less than a week ago and for the last 3 weeks have been giving them grass clippings, with chick grit, to help with immunities and get them used to our "outside" until the manager and landlord get the run done...which was the ONLY project the manager was supposed to be working on today and I had told him specifically to NOT pound on the coop, go near the coop and NO ONE but ME is supposed to be in the coop, no idea if he was or not...found him drunk when I got back from TSC tonight, so no idea if he had a few earlier??? The landlord and I are in this together, he puts most of the money up, atleast more than me, kinda silent partner, and I do the work, as I am the only one with experience. Neither live here, just come up on week-ends to help build, but this is the first time I had other obligations when the manager was here...so no clue what really happened today with the chicks...and knowing him...well, I wouldn't put anything past him...to lie about chicks getting out, ect....he doesn't want to lose his job with the landlord, ya know?

They should be okay. One thing...if the hardware cloth is on the inside of the window, it would be very easy for a predator to push it in and gain entrance. Much better to mount it on the outside of the window and put boards over the edges of it so it isn't easily pulled off. For the rest, there isn't much you can do. Do you and your birds a favor though, get them used to noise. My birds are around compressors, nail guns, saws etc., a lot and they never bat an eye. This is a good thing. I understand that this was a freak thing and shouldn't have happened, but this should show you that it could happen again and you may not be there then either, for damage control. Just a thought.

Oh and huge thank you, I will be up with them at 5:30 am to see and will sit with them, I might have some zip ties I could use to mark the ones that do drink...to keep track of it....Praying this isn't cocci!!! but am ready if it is and have a good start on first aid kit too!!!

So you all really don't think it could be, might be cocci? Am off to refill their water with the save a chick. oh, one more thing, I did have them out for a couple hours a few days ago, but stopped as I saw a hawk fly over and decided to wait for their run to be done...that was todays job...not tar paper, if I had been here, there would not have been tar paper on the coop!!! I gotta wait till he sobers up to find out what the heck is going on, went on, ect...and the astericks? not sure why they came up, I relaly didn't say a bad word...or maybe miss spelled by accident??? I don't swear!

The astericks are fine...lol, you may see a few of those in my postings and they may not be typos. If it is, and they haven't been vaccinated for it then the corid will do the trick if it's needed. If they aren't showing other signs, like hunching and ruffled feathers, it's probably just the stress of someone around they aren't used to as well as the pounding. Let them drink the vitamin water and relax a bit before you put them on anything else. Just keep your eyes open for the next couple of days. Anything doesn't seem right or they are sitting hunched and feathers fluffed out, do the Corid of course.

Just another thought...I normally keep my birds on the medicated until they have hit the ground for a while. It isn't going to hurt them and it may keep them from ever having to worry about it.

Oh one more thing, that made me think it was cocci, no blood at all, not that I could see, and I looked hard and close at the runny poos. I have been giving them durvet, a mixure of vitamins and electrolytes and started a full day after stopping the medicated feed. Just to help their immune systems and to help with them not being able to go outside too...so my only other thought was the stress of what ever happened today brought about a bout of cocci, as I am sure they have some now that they eat the grass clipping and went out those two evenings and did forage a bit, in an enclosed area, with me right there. So I'm sure they have been exposed, was hoping, that by feeding the medicated and grass clippings they would build immunities and have stronger systems...but they seemed really stressed, all day today...I wish I knew what really went on when I was gone!!!

You probably never will and as for the cocci, they are supposed to have it. Just not in numbers that will cause harm. The blood doesn't have to be present for a bird to have Coccidiosis either. Some birds never have symptoms, they just die. I still say this is awful sudden for a case of coccidiosis to show. Possible, as I said, but not likely. If their droppings are not back to normal by tomorrow afternoon, then by all means do a course of Corid. Just remember, no vitamins while doing it. This means in their treats as well.
