If at first you don’t succeed!!!

Sorry if I offended with my suggestions.
I guessed you lived in the UK, as do I. The only predator here is foxes. I used to see them a lot in my neighbourhood but in the last two years they have disappeared. However I am aware that they can always come back so I do not take chance with the coop because nights are the most dangerous.
A simple tarp or two in winter or bad weather will sort the draughts. I've read that the trick with ventilation is its supposed to be above and below where the chickens roost, but there should not be air flow directly onto the birds when they sleep.

I think the improvements you've made are great!

People will always comment on thinks you should do differently or haven't done well but I wouldn't worry. There is nothing on your coop that's screaming at me saying you much change it right now. We all have things that can be improved but you learn as you go.

There is one suggestion I could give and don't worry, it's fairly cheap and simple to do!

For the vents that are at the top of the coop on the front, when it gets chilly on nights, get some of the bag for life bags (the ones that usually cost £1, not the flimsy 5p ones) from asda or Tesco (or any shop that does them) and cut a piece out of them that covers each vent. Have it overlapping the sides slightly. One bag should do it to cover both of your vents.

Buy some stick on Velcro pads. Pop one at the top of the vent, one at the bottom of the vent and one on the bottom back of the cut out bag.

Nail the top two corners of the bag and then you'll have a roll down bag shutter for your vents! You can Velcro it up/open when it's warm and then roll it down/shut when it's cold.

Just an idea you may like! It's come in handy for our rabbit hutches over the years during winter months.

As you progress with your chickens, you'll probably decide to change and improve things yourself anyways. You're always learning with chickens!

I know foxes are our main predator here in the UK but I know not every garden gets them. A lot of people have fox proof gardens too, you know yourself what your garden it like!

Good luck with your chickens, they're great fun :D

Even my coop has things that could be better but ultimately it works great for me and my chickens are happy, that's the main thing.

no probs
My old girl has slept outside of the house(still in the run) on a ladder all weathers she’s tough as boots
I didn’t want my two new additions copying her hence the new built house
In the colder months I will add the bits that cover the mesh making it more cost
Cheers

Just this minute checked
All 3 girls in the new house
Young ones on the perch
Old girl tucked in the corner
Might have to make her a lower one

Above is the run I built
The new coop sits inside the run
In 10 years of having chickens I have never had a problem with foxesi like it anyway
Too many people on here just picking faults
I have guttering on the back of the run taking the water into the raised beds behind the coop

well id say its more of looking for potential problems, danger, looking at ways to make it better. I ask for feedback on mine, didn't necessarily listen to it...
weed through it all, may find a helpful hint.

I think you coop looks great and the birds will be happy out. somewhere in BYC my profile are photos of my coop, made from scrap and chicken wire. once a mink went in through a rat hole, (rat was killed by my cat), and I fixed that problem fast. In the 7 years Ive had my coop, the birds have been happy.
