If chicks are raised by a broody hen, are they more inclined to go Brody when they are older?

Just a random question. Are chicks that are raised by a broody hen more likely to go broody when they are old enough?

In my experience, no.

Alright. I was just wondering because I have an australorpe cross that was raised by a broody and she has gone broody 2 times in the past few months! I wasn't sure if it was just because she liked to go broody or because she was raised by a broody.

It's hormones. Some hens have lots of 'em. They go broody. Others, not so much. It has nothing to do with how they're raised.

I hand raised four Sussex and out of the four, only one has gone broody. Ten times in two years.
