Worked on it today....

I shoulda had the Amish come and build it....they could've already had one 60x100 built and been ready for a barn dance....LOL.....

I hate buildin' stuff.

If I had known the way to get my coop and run done was to go buy all the materials and have my husband watch me lug it down the mountain...

Then today he was invited to a friends house to play video games* and said he wouldn't go until my run was finished. Heck, I even got a gate! I've never seen him move so fast.

I started off with the chicks in the living room. For some reason, I *still* have chicks in the living room. I'm waiting for this batch to get a little bigger until I move their brooder to the coop. I'll probably end up building a removable brooder section in there.


*No, my husband isn't 12 years old, he just acts like it.

Tis okay. I started our coop 2 1/2 months before the chickies were supposed to get here. Chicks come week from today and I'm not even done staining it, let alone finish the run!

I told dad if we didn't get it done the chickies were gonna live in his work garage.

That should be motivation enough.

Yeah, I know it.... I had envisioned making it 16x16, but ended up dropping it down to 8x16 to be a little easier to construct...lol
