Hey, I've had my herd of chickens for a couple months now and I was wondering since I don't want my hens to get pregnant would I have to get my rooster neutered? I would prefer that I didn't have to separate him.

Hens dont get "pregnant" having a rooster in the flock. They will probably lay fertilized eggs but unless you decide to incubate or allow a hen who has gone broody to hatch them, you wont get any chicks. As others have stated, if you collect the eggs every day, you wont have to worry about a population explosion. :lau
