I went to my local feed store and looked at some baby chicks and thoght they wer soo cute and i wanted to get one, But i have 6 teenage chickens at home and i wuz wordering wut would happen if i let the teenage chickens and the chicks be together. Will they nurture it so i dont have to? Do i have to buy a heat lamp and cage and raise the lil chick myself?

your bigger birds will kill it. I put a dog crate in the hen house when the chicks are 3 weeks old. The crate has 2x4 inch holes. I cover the sides with netting for a few days,so the chicks know it as home to them. Then I remove the netting. The chicks slip out threw the holes when the coast is clear. When they get picked on they run back in.

Yes. After a week or so you should be able to just turn the light on at night. You also have to have special chicken feed for the chicks they eat different food than adults.

I don't want to sound mean, so please don't take it that way. But it sounds like you need to do some more research in the Index before taking on more chickens.

This is a good area to start in:

It's long reading, but it's almost impossible to give you all the info you want in a post.

The teenagers will likely peck it to death or it will chill and die, do NOT put a hatching in with them. If you want a baby chick- you need to get a brooder (box, heat lamp, chick food and waterer ect), and get 3 or more- they are social. Not just one. Not to be too rude, but I think from your question, you should get a chicken book (like Storey's guide to raising chickens) first and read it, before making any impulse chick buys.
