Frustrated to say the least. I went to a chicken swap an few weeks ago, came home with a batch of cute little ladies and have had three die already. One from a prolapsed vent, and two that I’m assuming weren’t strong enough to fight off the mycoplasma gallisepticum that came along with them. I separated the ones with symptoms and treated them all with anitibiotics for five days, bleach washed everything that they have came in contact with and put them all on medicated food and probiotics... and after all of that, still had another die. What am I doing wrong?!
I’m worried about adding them to my existing flock once they are old enough to get out of my garage since they are carries of this disease... I don’t want it to infect my healthy birds.
I’ve also got more chicks coming next week... any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Feeling very defeated.
