Last month my Mother suffered a masive stroke. I have been gone for over a month and the only computer I had access to was the one in the hospice on an infrequent basis. My Internet server was Hughes Net. In November of last year I changed my billing to invoice billing because I closed the account they were being paid from. I have yet to recieve an invoice despite frequent phone calls about my bill. Anyway during my stay in Kansas they cut off my service. When I got home this past week my computer did not work. I know very little about computers but I didn't think they could wipe out all my stored info as wel as denying me Internet service. I have lost all my egg and chick lists to the ether. A couple of people have PMed me since I got back on the Internet so I have relisted them. I am about 6 weeks behind in the things I need to do to get up and running for chick sales this spring. I was working on a website when all this happened so I'll try to get it up and running ASAP.

OH I am sorry! Hope everything looks up for you. Hows your mom doing? I hope ok. Prayers and hugs for you!

Gary, I hope your Mother is much better now.
I am so sorry to hear she had a massive stroke.
It amazes me that your family line is so vigorous. I'm barely 50 and you run around much better than I do! Obviously you live and eat right.

Thank you Nadine, but I am sorry to say my Mother is gone. She was completely self sufficient until the moment of her stroke. She would have been 92 in July and was still doing all the daily routine of a single woman living on a 90 acre farm.

I am so sorry for your loss - but can I say at least she lived well until she was struck down.....we can only hope to be as healthy and vibrant at the age of 91. I can't imagine your pain, my mother at 75 is still with us, and going strong; how quickly that can change.

oh I am sorry to hear of your mother passing. My grandmother was the same way totally self sufficient and active and then one night Bam our world was changed. She suffered a massive stroke and never recovered dieing a few weeks later. She was the rock of our family and my Grandfather followed shortly afterwards.

My other grandmother suffered a much longer and painful existence for her last 3 years of life and after watching that I have come to appreciate when it all happens much faster and more sudden. My dh death was more sudden as well and I am glad he did not suffer for long. I hope your mother did not suffer and that is was more the painless kind.

I had pm'ed you and will do again to get on your list.

As for your computer all the info should be there loosing the internet should not have errased anything .

my roomate owns a computer company and often fixes other peoples by doing it remotely (dont know how he does it but he is able to access other peoples with permission, and actaully gets into their computer from his at home.)

If you have any specific questions I would be happy to ask him. He has fixed everyones I know at some point.
