if i raise quail in a pen and release them in the wild will they live

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

Generally a big NO. Not only have they bonded to humans, but pen raised quail have lost the instinct to survive and have not been trained to find food or water from the parent birds. Predators will quickly pick them off one by one or they will starve or die of thirst. You will most likely be sending them off to their deaths. If you no longer want your quail, do the humane thing and slaughter them yourself in a quick fashion.
